  • How much for an exhaust install???

O.k. so for christmas i am asking for money. i was planning on ordering the pacesetter headers and y-pipe, a dynomax cat, flowmaster 80 series muffler, and two tips. This will total about $440 through summit. I want a shop to run and weld all of the piping. Having never done anything like this, i am just wondering about how much you think it would cost to have these installed and mounted with the piping and welding. I amonly trying to get an estimate, not an exact number.

The headers are what they are gonna charge the bling for. Do those yourself. The rest should run ya like 75-150

yeah, you could be looking around 400 normally for the headers and 100ish for the pipes. do a search cause this is asked constantly and you should find what an average is. :)

EDIT: woops....didn'y pay attention enough....having pipes made could cost you easily another hundred or easily more but remember...unless you are lucky most shops will bend you just a crappy bend that wrinkles just like factory. you can buy pre-bent piping that is mandrel bent from summit or jegs....much cheaper.

        I payed 100 bucks for my 3" i-pipe and over-axle pipe.

Maybe i should clear some things up. I want a flowmaster but i dont want the resonator that comes with it, so i am going to get the 2 1/2" intermediate and over axle pipe alongwith the muffler,.. this is also cheaper than buying the full kit and mor of what i want. I am still unsureas to the easiest way to mount the tips... will they do this for me or should i just get u u-bend and do it myself? I also plan on running a 2 1/2 s-pipe. Iguess im just trying to figure out the most cost effective way of doing this. Especially since i have no welding, cutting, or bending experience.

just buy the kit and have the resonator cut out and just a simple pipe put in place or even a cutout :)

arent the ceramic pacesetters like 370 just by themselves, or are you getting the satin painted ones? i, myself, think i am going to go with the ceramics just because of quality or does it make that huge of a difference cuz i know the prices are totally different for the coated and uncoated headers

I had 2.5" mandrel bent piping made and welded onto my car (car had a flowmaster muffler with stock piping) for 100 bucks.

to install everything from the headers back, expect 4-6 hours of labor at w/e they charge per hour

I would go with the ceramic coated headers for quality and longer lasting than the uncoated. The prices are totally different due to the fact of the old saying "You get what you payed for" and I totally agree on this occasion as well.

If you have the money and want better quality, go with the ceramic coated.
