      Re: no cat?

Im catless and run just fine. It will take a while for your computer to relearn its mixture. About the time you start throwing that SES light or a few days.

It may make the car run lean or rich. Either way it can be tuned. If you are gonna get rid of the cat make sure you get an 02 sim for the censor in the S-pipe. Im runing with no cat and have a sim, but I dont need the sim now cuz Ive had the 02 censors turned off when i got the car tuned.

              Re: no cat?

Having no cat will not cause a backflow issue. If you got wierd stuff going on its further north then your cat.

                good call
having no cat will make you run rich for awhile
but the fuel trims (aka oxygen sensors) should train themselves to bring
your Air-to-fuel ratio back in line.
How do you know youre rich? smell? exhaust? hearing it?

                How old are your O2s?

removing your cat will not alter your fuel trim.

you can smell a horrible oder and black smoke but its worst at higher rpm's but it just kind puts out at idle but the smell is horrible people always say stuff about it...and i dont know how old the O2's are, but i have no lights? anyone have any idea's on what it may be? o yea and i just took the cat off for the lil extra boost nothing to ride home about.

hum black smoke horride odor lets see. Okay your muffler is shot man. prolly cracked and clogged. If your cat went your stock muffler aint far behind. Now as far as that ****-in sh!t up? Maybe if it is like clogged. Seafoam your upper intake (just use search to find directions....) change your PCV, then go and get a new muffler.

black smoke is often a sign of running rich i'd check fuel pressure and o2 activity taking the cat off isnt going to change your fuel trim on a 3.4
