i have an 02 camaro...and all i have done to it now is exhaust and a cai...but i have been thinking about headers....but i really know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about them haha......but my car is pretty much just a daily driver, but of course i want it to be faster.....but someone told me that headers were a bad idea unless u just raced because they get hot and leak or crack or sumpthin......but i just figured i would ask some of yalls opinions on this sub. cause i know a lot of u know about all this.....thank you!!

leaking is a problem for most. if it something you're not willing stomach dealing with...look elser for more power

Don't the 98+ have the tubular manifolds? If thats the case headers wouldn't help that much in the power department. It would just improve the sound...Thats what I hear anyway

Well, he still has an 02 so hes got them either way. I know I haven't put headers on my 02 cause everyone says they won't increase the amount power hardly at all. Too much money for too little gain

yea, Y pipe wouldnt mount up right.

And also with the bolts backing out, coat the thread in red RTV. They will no longer back out.

ypipes are different and your ac lines would need to be repositioned/moved a bit to make clearance.

so headers would just b a better choice?

i have a 96 as well and my pace setters work great no leaks at all pain in the but to get in but thats the only trouble i had. look at 97ers4life he has a full page on putting them in :) and headers are bigger then the 00+ manifolds btw
