Re: K&N Installation
is this the 98+ style or 97- style. either way, its really easy. on a 97- you just unscrew a few clamps and lift the intake out. the hardest part on those is getting the splash guard out. its the black plastic piece in front of the tire. its really only a few screws. you have to take it out to put the filter on. (at least you do with the slp model). the 98+ are truly cake. theres really nothing that needs explaining.
btw. be careful taking the iat out (little sensor plugged into the intake). just grab it hard and work it slowly out with a firm grip. it takes a while but it will come out.

Re: K&N Installation
Some people have the money to blow on things like that, or are just to pretty to worry themselves about getting a little dirt on their hands to do so.
And then, there are the few that just don't have the confidence to perform any mod/repair on their cars because of people that say "...................can't do it, you should throw your penis in the trash"
Words of encouragement are needed, not childish insults for possibility of failure.

Re: K&N Installation
just trying to say he could do it, a wratchet, screwdriver and a jack are not beyond anyone able to merge on to the freeway
if it were headers, hell i wouldnt touch it, my balls arent that big, but intakes are pie
put it this way, my girlfriend put 2 different intakes on her camaro, first time she'd ever worked on a car too91 Mustang LX 2.3 Turbo - T5
-daily driver, 210hp/300ft-lbs (outdated)
94 Ranger Splash 2.3 Turbo - T5
-serious build up, shooting for 400+hp
95 Camaro 3.4 auto -hers
-she\'s workin on it

Re: K&N Installation
If you have jackstands(or a lift preferably) and a few other tools, you can install headers. They really aren't as hard as people think they are. It just takes confidence and the thought in the back of your head that "Well, I already removed the old headers so it looks like I have no choice but to install these" that philosophy always works for me.
