              Re: Shaving Air lid

i just did the free ram air and shaved my lid i need to get rid of the baffels but thats for another time. I need to make it look stock because my dad and my mechanic are best friends and my dad wont let me do like any mods wat so ever so he went away and i did these free mods.

Helpful Tip: When breaking off fins dont just snap a piece of one fin off then just keep snapping little pieces off. Try to get the whole fin off by just bending one fin little by little from one end of the fin to the other then just completly bend it and pull the whole fin off. It sounds like its harder but it actually made things alot easier and they came off alot cleaner and had less to sand. I did the first 4 by snaping little pieces off but then i was getting the whole pieces off and it was soooooooo much easier.

it'd be very easy with a dremel.

                    Re: Shaving Air lid

I dont think a dremel would be quiker it took me like 2 mins to get the fins off
I think it would be better for sanding it down tho and i used a dremel for the ram air mod

                      Re: Shaving Air lid

you do need a dremel for the ram-air mod: you also need to clean the filter more often, it gets VERY dirty without that plastic there to block debris from coming in.
