Re: already beat this horse to death, but help
Because out intakes are towards the drivers side you have to get flexable tubing which IMO makes the HP gain of a lid pointless. Just get the normal black ones and put a decal on it.

Re: already beat this horse to death, but help
well i took my big A$$ hp reducer off(between the air box and t.b.)lol shaved the ridges inside the airbox, rmoved the screen inside the t.b. cut the little thing in the oval hole out, plus the ram air mod with a k&n. took the sticker off the airbox, repainted it black and put a k&n decal on it. hold on and i'll go take a pic real quick.

Re: already beat this horse to death, but help
Yes, it will fit in place. No, it wil not be a direct bolt on. The only difficulty is getting some type of hose to hook up the lid and throttle body.

Re: already beat this horse to death, but help
The whole point in getting a lid is for the air to have a straight shot to the tb but adding the bend just loses some the hp you would gain from a lid...

Re: already beat this horse to death, but help
no, i dont think you need piping when you get the correct one. It's been years since i did mine but mine has the long neck like that, that goes into a short rubber connector then into the throttle body

Re: already beat this horse to death, but help
"99-02 Intake System- Lid Only"
Like the other guys were saying, no piping. And much more efficient than using the LS1 lid.\'98 Camaro V6
Appearance... pleasing
Performance... just a little extra air.
