dude, the flowmaster muff is trash

that muffler has around 25,000 miles on it. somethings moving in there. i investigated.. there is definatly something in there. rattles like hell.. I cant take it off. so this sucks, im getting all sorts of noises from the rear. what gives. did i get the bunk, or do they just suck, dont want to say that cuz i loved it sounded before something happened.

had mine for... a year and a half? yeah, year and a half and no problems here (save for a bit of rust but thats standard operating procedure in michigan cuz of all the salt.

why can't you take it off... take it somewhere and if the muffler is just bad you should be able to get one off ebay or somewhere around 40 50 bux

i've had the same flowmaster on my camaro's for at least 5 yrs now.. and i bought my first camaro with it already on.. so conservatively, mine is at least 5.5 yrs old.. absolutely no problems with it. very very very minimal rust, and still sounds sweet... this after being uninstalled and reinstalled 2 different times (different camaro's)... you must either have gotten a bad one, or it wasn't installed right...

I had the flowmaster exhaust before upgrading to the magnoflow exhaust system. The flowmaster is no good, it rusts out real fast an ends up sounding like junk... For us hicks up here in maine.

Same thing happened to me, except at about 5000 miles.

Check the heatshields i thought i killed my borla but it was hitting on the over axle pipe. took a small hammer to the heat shield never sounded better

i love my flowmasters but something broke off in there. i cant take it off cuz the clamps squeezed the pipes together, plus a little rust,(minimal.) i tried taking it off. it wont budge. its like there is a piece of something unknown in it. i cant make it out, could be anything really. just not happy right now with my whole exhaust. everything was as cool as the other side of the pillow until winter rolled around.
