If the noun begins with a consonant then use "a". As in: "Your car sounds like a ricer."
If the noun begins with a vowel then use "an". As in: "That ricer is an idiot."

P.S. people who use "an" before words beginning with "H" are simpletons.

dont worry, i've got a 3.8,jet stage II chip,ram air,no cat and a magnaflow exhaust. the first day i got my exhaust on, i got on it and i turned around really quick trying to find the honda civic, then i quickly realized it was me. :( so i rolled up my windows with 5% tint and went home without looking at anybody. :( sounds better now though. i guess i got the exhaust "broke in" lol

Yeah, I put a flowmaster american thunder catback on my car with a high flo cat and my car sounds like a ricer too. I can't complain though when I am passing an SN95 Mustang GT :):):)
