Set the feed line at "slow" and practice first. It takes some time to get a nice bead on the metal. And make sure that the exhaust (or any other metal) is cleaned up nice prior to welding. I used a grinder to clean up any paint or dirt that was left on the metal.sigpic

Re: mig welding exhaust?
Lincoln makes an awesome 110v Mig. I have a Hobart witch is basically a byproduct of Miller's Mig's, and it costed me $400.
A good rule-of-thumb to remember is:
The cleaner the metal is, the stronger the bead will be and it will lay alot nicer.sigpic
