a very annoying rattle under my car!!!

underneath the exhaust pipes near the cat theres a rail that goes around the bottom of the pipes and driveshaft it rattles against the exhaust when im on the gas would it be any harm to just take the 4 bolts out of it and take it off cuz it annoys the crap outta me!!!

Are you sure it is on right. Have you taken it off before. The way that I can best explain is the right way it is supposed to be is the small but deep dip goes under the torque arm and the shallow long dip goes under the exhaust pipe. I had mine the wrond way after I did my exhaust and it rattled the crap out of me till I got under the car and realized it was turned around the other way. Hope this helps.

try that. if it still wont work, put some washers under it so that it hangs down a bit lower.

thing is that it was never removed at least as long as ive had the car anyway and it didnt have a exhaust system when i got it so im thinkin it just needs to be takin off and bent around a lil bit cuz it never did that till i bottomed out a few hard times...but as far as lookin at it it really dont look important..

Are you running a stock cat? My stock cat started to go and rattled like a mofo until I finally replaced it with a high-flo. Another rattle I encountered with my american thunder is one of the tips were hitting in the back of the car, and another time I had smapped one of the welds near the cat and the exhaust rotated enough for it to make contact with the cross brace.

no i have a hi-flow cat and i know where its rattling cuz ive adjusted it a million times and then the rattle returns so its the cross panel near the cat i beleive a bolt is rattling against the pipe i just want to know if this panel is important at all cuz it annoys me.

Exactly what i did. if you have a clamp on the exhaust right there i would suggest you turn it sidways before you put the brace back on.

put a jack under that little piece and jack it up a lil bit...i did that to mine when it was makin noise...solved my problem and hasnt come back since

wait, is it towards the rear of your car, after the cat, at the S pipe curve, and goes acrossed your exhaust? If so, DON'T REMOVE IT, it's a cross member!!!

no its b4 the cat in between the 1st of the cat o2 sensors and the header exit its just a green panel same color of the car

yea mine rattled too, i just took it off. stupid thing didnt do anything anyways.
