Electric Exhaust Cutout

For the members who have a electric exhaust cutout, I was wondering where you installed your cutout on your exhaust at?

I bought one and brought it to the local muffler shop to see if they would put it on for me. The only place I see on my exhaust to put it would be to take out my resonator from my flowmaster catback but they suggested that it might cause a fire to put the cutout there. So just wondering what everyone else did or if they had any problems, thanks for any help or suggestions you can give me.

a lot of people try to put it before the Cat as that is the start of restriction in the exhaust.

Isn't there anyone else who has cutouts on their cars? I would like to hear from you where u have them installed at on your exhaust and if you had any problems with them. Thank you.

i have a manual 1 right before my rear axle im taking it out when i get headers though, its kinda pointless cuz i hardly ever use it

i have a manual cutout right before my over-axle pipe (after the cat, inside my i-pipe). i love it and havent had any problems with it at all. best 30 bucks ive ever spent. you can buy them at summit, and get them installed pretty much anywhere, as long as its AFTER the cat.

i put it right toward the end of i-pipe and about 6" above over the axle pipe ............ no complains ..........

My manual cutout is on the I-pipe, tucked under the rear seat. No clearance issues, and can be easily accessed

I put my cutout before the cat and its stupid loud like annoying it definately needs to be after the cat no matter what anyone says

there is a nicely placed pocket under the car right before the axel where a cut out fits perfectly. if you look at the sticky with exhaust pics, you will see it easily.
