I removed my air lid to do a little work and found the MAF screen missing. Do I need to replace it? Thanks for the help.

you dont need to, previous owner probablr just removed it for a quick horse or two,

by the way...do you mean you removed your whole intake setup? cause its loated at the front of the throttle body.

if you have the straight TB its helping you a little if you have an angled TB you NEED a MAF screen cuz it helps straighten our air flow or something

That's what I've been told. Seeing how is name is gman2000, I'm gonna assume he has a 2000 car. So, he should have the straight throttle body. Plus, he said he removed his lid, so right there means he has a 98+, unless it's a Z-28.....

i have a 98 with an angled tb...and IF it is a angled tb the only that happens is it will idle irregularly at a cold start....if you can put up with that, you are golden
