Any pros/cons to putting a lid on a 97? My dad thinks I should ditch my CAI and put a lid on. He thinks we could make it work by buying the lid from a 98, along with the radiator support and all. What do you guys think? Will it even work? Would I see any gain? I know some people with lids have RAI and CAI, and that would be better than just my CAI. Has anyone done this before? I'm about to search for it and see if I find anything.

Re: Hmmmm......98 intake on a 97?
Here are some links I found. One guy did it without having to cut the hole in the hood. Here are some pics of the guy who had to modify to the hood.

thanks. Anyone on here done it before? I've got the CAI that jimbob did from your first link, and he's saying he saw a difference with the lid. I think I might give it a try.....Plus, I can then make a RAI as well~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~
