    Re: How is this?

How is PVC piping bad? Well lets do it like this.

Man walks up to car, "Hows that thing do in the quarter-mile."
You, "Eh not so bad for just a 6 banger."
Man, "Oh yeah only a six you say?"
You, "Yeah but its not like.. Terribly slow or anything, just not that fast."
Man, "Hows she look under the hood."
    You- (action: popping hood)
    Man, "WTF is that?"
You, "Oh, i pieced that CAI together to save myself 200 dollars... Paid like 18 dollars for it an its GREAT"
Man, "That is by far the ugliest, ghetto crap i have ever seen, your car blows.... Seriously (walking away shaking head)"

    Totally worth it!

I love the intake I made with PVC and a K&N.

If you're worried about what random people think about your car, sell your f-body and get a Ferrari

          Re: How is this?

i wouldnt buy that because look at all the bends in the tubing, your engine is gunna really have to suck to pull that cold air through all that piping. what you want in an intake is a straight shot to the throttle body. you might actually be hurting your engine at low rpms since it only sucks in a small amount of air compared to WOT.

for example, K&N knows their stuff about intakes and look at their model for our cars:

thats what i currently have installed on my car. now im not saying you have to drop $300 for a nice K$N, but you should consider a straight-flow intake. oh and the "chrome intakes" looks pretty cool, but im big a ebayer, and i know how people are; they'll sell anything they can get a buyer for.

          my long 2 cents.

man paint that pvc and that would look good and the long intake path can help increase velocity
