  • MAF Again

Well, about 10K ago, my MAF went bad. I was getting low voltage this and that, and IAT low voltage and blah blah. Just put my O2 sim in, so I took it to my uncle to have the code erased. He said I had another code saying low voltage or something of the sort to my MAF, again......We thought we had it fixed, but I guess not. It runs just fine, no stuttering, stalling, or anything. Just took it to the track Fri and it ran awesomely (except for the no traction part, but that's not my fault :P ). So, any idea what's up with my car? I've seen one other thread like this and I don't think he ever got a straight answer.

    IAT Resistor

I'm sure some of you guys are going to say it's my IAT resistor thing, but that wasn't in last time it crapped out on me, so I figured it's not it. Plus, on my CAI, the IAT sensor itself is located right in front of the power steering reservoir, so I can't plug the sensor in.

    Re: MAF Again

probably a left over code from the first time that were stored in the history if the car is running awesome again.

      Re: MAF Again

you could've just drilled a new hole for the IAT sensor...its just plastic right?
02 sim = iat resistor right?
Maybe you should try putting the stock sensor back in, (get a scanner to clear the codes), drive around for awhile, and then re-scan the car again, to see if the code went away? IDK your situation is wierd

edit: ya, just clear the code out, and re-scan it, bet it goes away
(or it will just go away after time)

extend the wires and put it in there. your car will run better and faster with it. if you have one of those resistors in it, ditch it. clear the code to see if it ever comes back. could be a history code.

I had the codes cleared after I fixed the MAF. It'll reach the sensor hole, but the intake is right against the powersteering resirvior, so I can't plug it in. I had him erase the codes, so hopefully they don't come back. But, with the way my luck's been going, I've got $20 saying they do.
