I was reading around and saw Pewter2k's thread made a while ago with his custom exhaust he made. I really loved the sound and the price of that set-up. The only question I had was will those parts fit my car since mine is a 96? Also I see the I-pipe from Dynomax on Summit, but what about the OTA pipe? Im sorry for these newb questions, but I seriously want a new exhaust on my bird.

Re: Summit Parts Exhaust
yes it will fit, the I pipe is 2 sections... they are listed seperate but together when looking up the parts... it will fit the same as mine, all you wil need is a tailpipe bent. oh, and a new S pipe made to mate the Cat up to the 3" piping... not hard, but a 3" U-bend from summit and have the exhaust shop cut it, and spin it aound to an S...Last edited by Pewter2K1; 01-18-2007, 06:39 PM.

Re: Summit Parts Exhaust
going 3" is fine. in my sticky, I believe i discussed these parts. I purchased these years ago and never regretted it. it will fit your car.
i think you were curious apart this part and its sorta s bend. I have no idea what that is, it was not there when i made the sticky. that bend is not the proper shape for being our s-pipe. Does anyone know what this is? http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Re: Summit Parts Exhaust
you dont have to but yes, thats what you so. either way, if you do not do the s-pipe, you need a reducer from the s-pipe to the i-pipe

Re: Summit Parts Exhaust
yes it would. but then you would most likely need an 02sim because of the converter possibly setting a code and if you just do the s-pipe, you need to buy an 02 bung so you can have your post cat 02 sensor in place.

Re: Summit Parts Exhaust
thats what it is but the bend on the cat side doesn't look like it will meet up to the cat. obviously it will since it says its made for our car but....I dont know

Re: Summit Parts Exhaust
No it's not I just bought that pipe like 3 months ago and put it and the over the axle on my car into a magnaflow dual muffler. The bend is becuase there is that plate right under where the s and I pipe meet thats what the bend is for it bends up a little to give plenty clearence for that plate. It is not the s pipe.

Re: Summit Parts Exhaust
O' gotcha. that totally makes sense. I guess I wasn't looking at the direction of the bends correctly
