No actually Reoddai is saying to makes your combustion chamber smaller as well ;)

The EGR on our cars to my knowledge (which ain't perfect) only opens when you are at a stable constant speed for a certain amount of time. (ie: highway driving) I'm 95% positive it closes during WOT.

Edit: I should edit this. I have experienced knock but not at a point when the EGR should be working. My knock is always WOT or just after.

Youre last post confused me, you were referencing yourself and talking about yourself in the third person lol

I'm 100% sure the egr closes at WOT
Like I said, I've had KR anywhere
Like I also said, I can find out for sure when mine opens/closes
      Good info guys!

I was showing you that I said the EGR makes the combustion chamber smaller as well. The guy who said it helped drag was some random guy on a Mopar info sight.

I have to thank you guys for all the valuable info!

So basically its more involved with emissions than engine performance.

              Re: SES from EGR Question.

So let me ask you this, what is the cause of the code being thrown.

I've read on the board that someone recommended placing the small breather filter at the end of the line, reseting the comp (battery disconnect), and it won't throw a code.

I am going to give cleaning it a try....see how it works afterwards.
