i know. im just saying due to our design, its fairly easy to do, so just watch out for it.

I got an idea on what he is saying. Let me ask this, isn't it better to have your headers with wraps or such? keeps the heat inside the headers and helps better flow

wraps also trap moisture against the header, promoting rust

            Re: Headers

No need for header wrap just get some headers that are ceramic coated, they will help reduce external heat and rust as well. I would suggest just getting some pacesetter ceramic coated headers and puting them in your self, I'ts not that hard anyway, just make sure you have a whole weekend to do it and a friend to help with the install and to get parts if you need them. The worst part about putting headers on is getting the old manifolds off. Expect a broken stud or two, if it happens don't worry just move on to the next one. After everything else is done go back to the head studs that broke, its usually not terrible, there is usually enough left sticking out of the head that you can take some vice grips and get them out the hard way. After that just intall the new headers from under the car the same way the old ones came out.

That was the OuterCooler Space-Time continum flux capacitor modulator.

I've never installed / removed my tubular manifolds from underneath... but their tubular (newer) style.

As for you wanting to wrap the header... You can just get DEI Protect-a-boot spark plug wire protectors. Think Summit has the best price (dont quote me!)
              They work great for me!

ya, you're completely right. Thanks for catching that
Most of the time when doing upper engine work, I wouldnt need to remove them from the y. I just let them chill next to the head
But when removing the engine, yes, definately had to remove them
