I saw this at the local auto zone. Spectre Performance now make custom tubing so you can build your own intake. Did know if anyone one here used this yet or heard about this. The one thing that caught my eye was the pic of the intake on this 4th gen camaro. I couldnt firnd the same pic online so I asked the manager on auto zone if I could take a pic from their catalog. This is the best I could get since the pages were so shiny. Alot of potential for some awesome intake.

Re: Build your own custom intake
they'd have a lot more room if they took out the factory airbox... plus thats a lot of piping. It would completely defeat the purpose. 2 airfilters is basically unnecessary. Any air that got shot into those would have so much turbulance it would be worthless. I'll admit it looks kind of cool, but it also looks functionless. I'd rather stick with my shaved lid and free ram air mod. .02

Re: Build your own custom intake
Considering that most intakes are about the same, id do that for looks too since it looks kickass IMO.

Re: Build your own custom intake
Originally posted by ZO6vette037It is not a kit. They do make kits but that was just a custom job. Most pieces are seperatly and only cost a few bucks. I'm not crazy about all the bends and everything, but I love the point you could do anything you want. They have all the peices to make one just like the SLP for the 93-97 camaros with dual intakes for half the cost!

Re: Build your own custom intake
This would make it cheaper to do ram-air on the ws6, and SS hoods.

Re: Build your own custom intake
Since you can get them to make it how you want, I guess it would be good for supercharger/turbo people wanting custom intake piping or something..
but that n/a ls1 with the dual intakes is retarded looking, just get a clear lid with a k$n filter and it will look 20x more badass
