can you put a 3in/out hi flow cat on a stock exhaust then a 3in s-pipe, then have it reduced before it hits the muffler? Im going to have a shop do it if theres any weilding involved. But i want to keep the stock muffler becouse of the sound.
Or would it be a better idea to just get a 3in / 2.25in out hi flow cat?
ultimately though.. your exhaust is as weak as your smallest point, no matter where it is.
That's somewhat true, but when it's time for him to upgrade to a 3 inch catback he would still have a 3 inch in 2.25 out cat, and 2.25 spipe, then he'd have to buy a new cat again if he didn't want the bottleneck, might as well do it right the first time and it would still flow better..
slp installation kit for v6, can be found at slponline.com and thunderracing.com = spipe and hangers, or get a 3 inch u-pipe and have the exhaust shop cut it in half and reweld it.
