buy one to go from 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 then one to go from 2 1/2 to 3.

basically...the exhaust shop may have to cut a few inches off your I-pipe, but it'll work

if you have a 97, its a 3.8. and your Y pipe should already be 3". the rest of your exhuast will be 2.25, except for the tip which is 2". the stock cat is 3" in and 2.25 out.

^yeah i was about to say where our y pipe goes into one its 3 inch so youll be good for 3 inch piping, sure you still dont want any help, mitch? lol j/k, i figure the s pipe is going to be the hardest thing to bend up, id keep your stock piping you took off last night to give you something to compare the new bends to, my headers finally came today so hopefully i can scroung up some money to get the gaskets i want, the pacesetter gaskets just LOOK ****ty, let me know if you need another hand man 778-9495

are you getting headers in the future...b/c its kind of pointless to get 3" exhaust and leave the restrictive manifolds

personally imho i would stick with 2.25 or 2.5 mufflers becaust thats what it sounds like ur doing if im not mistaken.. when i test drove a firebird v6 that had a 3" exhaust it did feel as torquey might i add as the 2.5 but i believe the track time will be the same just u wont feel it as much.. i have 2.5's on my just flowmaster mufflers and welding straight pipe instead of a cat with rest of the stock tubing. just my .02

i was goin to use 3" pipe and bend it all myself but the pipe bender at my school jus crushed the pipe and wouldnt bend it so im jus taking it to a shop on thursday an having the whole thing done with 2.5" tubing but for now im driving around with my exhaust cut off right b4 the cat and its annoying as hell and it gets terrible gas mileage
