pacesetters are finally in

finally got my headers from oi bird v6, theyre so sweet, now i just gotta get some abbott gaskets and put them on, just thought id show them off for now though:rock: after theyre on i think im going to get all 2.5 inch piping and keep my flowmaster 40 series for a little while but i dont really like its sound at higher rpm, i was going to get the loudmouth 2 or the tsp rumbler but being an A4 im worried about low back pressure and love my low end torque so i dont think those are really options anymore, i also have been looking at borla xr1s if i could find them cheap enough what do you guys think i should get after the install? something under 65 buck please, im also an ebay shopper soo..:)

i'm puttin some pacesetters on once i get my car back from paint...i'm just gonna soak the pcster gaskets the nite b4. I'm getting some new locking bolts.

You should get a hi-flo cat if you dont already. I got my catco on ebay for $50. Get the 80 Series flow also

water i belive, just softens them up, easyer to install. im not 100% sure on this though.

ive heard soak them before, but ive never heard what to soak them in and why it helps...

yea, basically it's supposed to make the gasket expand, and then when you put them on the car, it's supposed to make a better fit...

It's called PB Blaster...you can find it at any automotive store. As for the bolts, you'll just have to re-tighten them once or twice after install, then they'll be ok.

smoke panther is right on about both points. the more you soak the stock bolts the easyer they'll be to get off, pb blaster is great stuff and works even better. soak them at least once the night before, and let the car warm up a tad before you take them off, this will help too.

I have a dumb question that plagues me. Do you intend to weld it on yourself?

I mean, jeez. I don't feel comfortable at ALL welding on my car. I just want to know if people are welding things by themself.

My father and friends weld everything for me. It is a skill that would be great to have and someday I'm sure I'll get into it
