  • Changing 96 intake to a 98 intake

My uncle had a 98 Z-28 and had the SLP lid with K&N air filter and with the smooth bellow. What would i need to change to get his stuff to work with my 96 3.8?

    LOTS of money.

There is NO benefit to using a 98+ intake. It will NOT fit. You would need a ram air hood without the ram air. There is nowhere to get the air to the BOTTOM of the 98+ air lid.

Do a search. This has been discussed before.

Not worth the effort for 2-3 hp. Just get a SLP intake.
