alright, im about to get a decent size of money pretty soon and i was wondering how easy would it be to install a cold air intake and about how much would it cost for the parts. also my exhaust is just stock and i was wondering what the best exhaust would be to put on it? possibly even a price on that? im looking for a decent rumble sound im not expecting a lot its only a V6 afterall but i inspected a V6 firebird today 2001 and it had a pretty nice sound to it. i noticed something about an EGR valve how would u benefit from removing that? anyway this year im focusing on exhaust and intake and trying to get everything in order and maped out. any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated thanks for ur time fellas.

Re: this surely has been discussed....
CAI are not too hard to install i suggest the SLP one its less than $100 bucks i think. I would also go with a K/N air filter its like $50. I have a whisper lid on mine and i love it. It makes the air woosh into the engine and i like the sound alot. It also looks sweet, they run like $100. I just ordered a High Flow cat for my car it was like $60. If i were you i would go with a 3in/out cat with a 3in S-pipe and a 3in catback (borla if you have the money). If your car is newer than 2000 there really no point of getting headers because they already come with tubular manifolds but if its older than that they are a deffinate upgrade. (headers are hard to install though).
There ya go I gave you a free bee, but next time you need to use the search feature it is acually a really big help with making decisions.

Re: this surely has been discussed....
On a half bolt-on car, blocking the EGR is gonna cause more problems than gains. The only ones that really need to bother with blocking the EGR are cammed cars or those running a power-adder
