ok so i basically have a custom exhaust set up. ive got a 2.5 inch main going thru a Y pipe out the back out of 3 inch tips. i love the way it sounds, but its getting a little old, with how loud it is and all. im thinking about puttin on a straight thru muffler of some type, and im wondering what i should do to keep the exhaust note, but make it a little less loud and noticable to the police. i was looking at a moroso spiral flow or something of that sort. any suggestions?

Re: changing exhaust note
If you can afford it get a Borla catback system because they have interchangeable plates on the passenger side so you can change how much sound and flow go throught the actual muffler. They sound hella good too. Ive gotten manay many complements on the way my car sounds wiht my setup. I dont have a cat either so you may not wnat to do that in your area.01\'Y87 Firebird:Gt1 cam,Vig.3000 stall

Did not ask PO, so I am wondering if those plates remain in the muffler, or must I buy some? Any hints on where I should look on the system?
Love the sound, but would enjoy it a bit more quiet.
Thanks.
