I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the differences in the exhaust system is between 95-97 3.8's and 98+ cars
The Flowmaster Catback's are different part numbers for each one. The modification encyclopedia justs lists the part #17358 (98+ catback)...95-97 part # is 17358.
I ask b/c there's a 98+ catback for sale, and I was wondering if I could make it work on my 96. Anyone know what the difference is?
Not to be jumping to conclusions, but does he have it hooked up wrong? I know my Flowmaster In/Out side is overlapping. Unless, I am wrong and Borla has it setup different. The Borla pipes would be sticking out a heck of a lot further than the Flowmaster Catback?

no...you can tell by the 3" inlet and smaller 2.5" dual outlets...the tailpipes are part of the catback and designed to be the right length
I know my friend has an Excelerator Exhaust which I had never heard of before on his, and I swear it doesnt even sound like it would go on a Camaro. His pipes stick out behind the body like 5 in. or so, it kinda looks ridiculous and outdone. Was the dumbass who had it before him who put them on.
