  • pcv valve seal

Changing my 3800 PCV Valve, when I removed the cover plate, some of the seal went with it. Broken to bits, and I fear Permatex Blue around intakes, so I need the gasket seal.:(
Chevy dealer wants to order it, and auto zone just laughed.
Anywhere you guys have bought them without waiting?
I thought about cutting gasket matl...

    thanks

      Cool, thanks.

Since they are in the plenum, why they just dont come with the gasket, I cannot understand.
Or offered when you buy the valve...

i hate auto parts stores sometimes, i went into advance auto parts one time and asked the guy if they had goodyear gatorback serpentine belts and he sais " haha is that what they're really called?" and i said "yes is a serpentine belt" and he sais "oh never hurd of them" and said they carry some weird brand:mad:

Buy a DIY gasket kit and cut your own. I did that a few years back on mine and it works great. Even changed the PVC valve a few times since then and my DIY gasket keeps on truckin.

                Thanks.

So it ended during lunch when I ran down to the stealer to get the last 4 in DC. Anyone needing quick dealer parts east of the Beltway could do worse than this big yard; my man Brian took fine care of me with a smile, and printed out the GM manua'ls diagram of the whole top of the 3800. A pleasant ending; folks dodge that 'hood cause its rough for DC, but all the fancy lots where I live by the Bay gave me sad excuses.

Dang, I can hardly wait to actually drive this sombitsh!
