  • exhaust mod?

im thinking about moding my exhaust...Im thinking of adding a bullet muffler or a Resonator in front of the exisiting muffler and then swapping the old muffler with a borla muffler, like a Pro XS or something. Do u think there would be noticable amount of rasp, im sure that at high r's there will be, but i think it should sound good til about 5. what do u guys think and how much do u think it will cost to install??, im thinking 250.

hmm..I can't think of anyone off-hand who's put a bullet muffler AND a regular one on at the same time...ought to be hella-restrictive, but not so sure about sound

i think there are some people running a bullet and regular muffler... they usually run the bullet to help control rasp. Maybe someone with that setup will post and give you more info.

I always use a bullet muffler before the regular one to control rasp. It's very effective, just make sure you get a straight through perforated core type like one of the dynomax models. Don't get anything with louvers or baffles to hurt the flow.

Most general replace their Cat with a bullet from what I hear. I'm thinking about it just to get rid of my rasp. How much of a perf loss with I see though?

a bullet is going to flow better than any regular muffler you already have so the performance lost is nil
