I just changed my gaskets last week and they looked exactly like those. I also had a leaky gasket between the upper and lower manifold.

how can you tell if these are leaking because some one i talked to said mine were, but i just want to know if there is an absolute way and how hard were they to change. not trying to thread jack

Pressure testing the system is an absolute way to check for leaks.

no it was a 1996 3800 series2 with 98,600 miles on it.

i had issues with my gasket. the dexcool they use eats gaskets like a mofo. costed me over 1k in repairs over a year ago since coolant cloged my cat and fouled a couple o2 sensors.
