K&N CAI Installation questions

I am partially through installing a k&N CAI in my 93 3.4. (I have pulled out the stock air housing unit, and disconnected the headlight module) My question is this, there is a small tube coming off and behind the new Air Duct, which says it is for the A.I.R. Pump. But my old air housing unit had no air pump going to it...does this mean i should disregard it and put the vinyl cap on it(provided)...or is there a pump somewhere else i'm supposed to relocate it to?

Second, anyone who has done this mod and had to relocate the headlight module, where did you find a good place to attach it with the adhesive? thanx

i know the 3.4 and lt1 5.7s cold air intakes are usually the same, mabye the a.i.r. pump thing is for the z28 and they gave you the cap for your 3.4 thats just my guess, i would have to see the piece they sent you

you may very well be correct, simply because the picture they give us to work with is that of an LT-1...however i read a write up (on the review part of this website) where the guy had a 3.4 and he writes "I added two seperate hoses as per written" and that is getting me all confused because I don't have any hoses at all!

not all cars have the AIR pump, so just cap it. (my AIR pump is sitting in a box in the garage. ;-)

I forget where I put the module - I think I just moved it to the front of the fenderwell. If nobody else responds, remind me to look later tonight when I get home.

no prob man, all is well, I found a tight little spot in between the fuse box and the K&N tube, it will do :)

I am finished with the install! Hozaah! Hooray! (and there was much rejoicing...yay) Only probs i had was that damn filter is so hard to put on from under the car...i had to grease it up to make it fit...and second, when i was unscrewing some bolts from the air deflector some of them just broke off the fender...oh well it's still hangin there somehow...but it sounds great and looks good from the hood
