Need pics! 3800 Differences???

I'm looking to buy an upper and lower intake manifold for a project vehicle from a 3800. Before I buy one, I need some good, detailed pics of the upper intake from a 95-98, and 99-03. I need to know what the differences are between them. TIA, David.

simply put... angled TB to straight TB... thats basically the only difference. i can get you some detailed pics of basically anything you want... i have 2 3800's waiting to be built right now... so let me know if you need pics.

The 95-98 has a throttle body that uses a cable linkage set-up. I believe the 99-03 uses a drive-by wire, no cable linkage, which requires the use of sensors. I don't think you will be able to mount the cable linkage throttle body on the 99-03 intake manifolds. Not without modifications anyway. Also, like rdrr96 mentioned for the 95-98 intakes where the throttle body mounts to, it is angled downward, where as the 99-03 is straight out. you can't because nobody makes any, only stock ones that have been ported.

you could always make one yourself... i was talking to a couple guys locallyto make me one or a couple. if i do get it done ill post pics and stuff like that. theyll keep the blueprints so they can make moreand what not. illl talk to them and see if they are willing to try it out.

Sweet. Thanks Robert. Any signifigance in flow, or inlet/outlet size between the two? Anyone better than the other? Differences in TB are not a factor, I will be using a diff style for that.Thanks again guys.
