they don't look like they hook up to the same tube..?

according to the description the difference is quality, colors, and an airfilter

The first one, is like the super sucker ram air, for the 98+ f-bodies with the air box, and the second one is for the 93-97 without the airbox.

did they make a 3.8l in 93-97? I didnt think they did..

97 was the only year that got the 3.8, the new dash, new tail lights, in the old body style. The other years mostly had the 3.4.

Nope. In 1995, 500 3.8Ls were produced as an option in the later half of the production year, in 1996, the 3.8L was made standard.

^^^^yep unfortunatly im the one in 95 stuck with a 3.4l but yea in the end of 95 and up it was the 3.8l

ya 93-95 they had 3.4's. Mid 95 they switched to the 3.8, and from then on went with the 3.8. And the difference between those intakes is the years they're for. 98+ have a airlid, 97- have intake tubes.

The diffrence is I have the second one (SLE-21013) and it kicks ***!

But really, both are proven power adders for the cars. And they give a lil more growl when you mat the gas!

i love my mutt of a 97 as well...nicer 98+ interior with the classy 3rd gen style headlight exterior :)


if the 98+ 3.8L have a lot of little upgraded differences like the intake and such..why doesnt it make like 205-210 hp?
