    k&n induction kit
    or

http://www.lmperformance.com/1617/13.html whisper lid with http://www.lmperformance.com/741/13.html slp induction box

would it be worth getting the slp induction box + the k&n kit?

and, I'm going to assume the k&n intake kit would replace the filter and lid I have right now..

also.. how often do you usually have to clean the uncovered filter? or does the kit come with one..?

and.. will the SLP induction box affect ground clearance?

      1. neither one setup is better than the other
      2. no, one or the other
      3. yes, it will replace entire factory intake
      4. at least as often the normal filter
      5. yes, it effects the ground clearance under the front bumper of the car.

      1. SSRA is nice but pretty much the same as the SLP induction box stuff

so, the k&n kit would be the same as the lid AND the box?

or all 3 would have the same effect..?

I'm leaning towards the k&n kit right now because I don't want to have to worry about ground clearance, the whisper lid looks kind of retarded with the red crap on it, plus its going to replace the filter I have right now, which is old =] 3 birds with 1 stone.

I'd go with the whisper lid... the other setup seems that it will suck in warmer air.

yea...that K&N will just suck up warm air...unless you have a firebird and have done the functional nostrils mod...other than that, get the lid...

Hey i'm pretty new to my 00 3.8 but I'm also in a similar predicament... I understand how the K&N kit would suck warm air obviously but im confused a little on whether or not the Whisper lid w/ Slp induction Box is basically the Ram air setup...
