Hey ive noticed the last week a when i quickly tap the throttle a short whistling noise is coming from where my air filter is. It's a k&n cold air intake. Is it maybe time for a cleaning or is this normal? i've had it for about 8 months.

depends on what type of whistle...usually CIA's make a sucking noise.

it must be it sucking up more air cause its only when i give it gas. Seemed to start after i cleaned my throttle body.Comment

The whistling noise you hear that may sound similar to a turbo whine is completely normal. There is nothing wrong with your intake or car. Its just where the air gets into the car more efficiently and there arent any baffles to silence the air liek the stock junk does. All cold air intake systems on any car will do this.
