...i got a cut out installed on my car after the cat under the p-side seat and when i 1st got it on it was REALLY loud but after a few weeks it seems like its gettin quieter, 1st thing my brother said was "it sounds like ****" and another thing is when i pass other cars goin down the road it sounds like a mac truck gurgling...is that just what u hear inside the car or is that the way our cars sound with a cut out? if so idk if i like it either...its a manuel flowtech by holly btw.

      Re: well...

It is likely more unpleasant from the outside, and a dopler effect from being passed by you may be worse.
GM V6s are not the most melodic engine note around...

          Re: well...

cutouts usually go before the cat ;)

plus a cutout is not ment to sound good, it is suppose to be loud and annoying, because it it suppose to bypass all exhaust components that make it quieter
