exhaust sound difference?

I just had a quick question about my exhaust system. It may be a stupid one, but I was wondering why at times my exhaust will sound so much louder and deeper than at other times. I know weather may be a fractor but is there anything else taht causes the exhaust sounds to fluctuate so much from day to day?

mines a tad louder and deeper when its cold, but revs sound worse. its just becuase the motor is cold im assuming. even my quad and dirtbike sound alot different cold vs warmed up.

my flowmaster catback sounds like a honda when cold. but after driving it sounds nice and low untill about 4 grand.

yea mt sp 3" sounds deep as hell til about 4 grand, but that's because its a v6, we're mistaken for v8's by ppl who dont really kno too much about cars til we really get on it. it happens. and it sounds mean as **** when you first start it up in the cold but thats due to the engine being cold. if u want deeper go with the 3" i think the 2.5 sounds way to high pitched on our cars.
