I lost my exhaust system!!!!!!!!!
Does anybody know if getting your exhaust welded or having clamps are better? My system was welded. One night I was racing, smashed on the gas and my got damn muffler, tailpipes, and tips came completely off. Talk about pissed off. Any advice is good for me to hear. Help please!!!!!!!!!

Welded is better. Less of a chance for leaks, and it holds stronger. I've only heard of that happening to one other person... sorry about to bad luck.. -

I've had that happen twice on mine. Both vortex mufflers. Once in 2001 and once last year. It was a rust issue with mine.Originally posted by kala

Sounds like it was a crappy weld to begin with. If metal is not cleaned properly prior to welding, it will leave a lousy bead that can become very weak over time.sigpicComment
