  • Coated Pacestter Headers

A couple months ago I saw the Pacesetter headers for the 95-02 3.8L V6 Camaro/Firebird on Summit Racings website that were coated by another company. I think it was Hedman, or Hooker, but maybe not. The part number had that company's identification in it instead of the Pacestter identification although they were the Pacesetter headers just coated by another company. I tried searching for them again and couldn't find them on Summit. Just out of curiousity, does anyone remember what the company was or why they're not on Summit anymore?

Pretty sure because I saw them a couple times and I was wondering why they did that when Pacesetter already offered the Armor Coating. It might not have been but I thought so.

1995.5 got the 3.8 kristen, so in that case, they'll work.

i though it was just ceramic coated, they just called it " armor coated " ive never seen/heard what your talking about. i know hedman and hooker dont make headers for our motors, i dont see why they'd coat them.

he is just saying that it was a different part number on the website and not the generic pacesetter number. Not stamped or anything like that.

                Re: Coated Pacestter Headers

97rs4life's got it. It was Jet Hot. I don't know why Hooker and Hedman came to mind because I know that they don't make headers for our cars.

Has anyone got headers coated by Jet Hot before, and if so how did they hold up with rusting and everything?

My main question I guess is, do you think the Jet Hot coating is worth the extra money over Pacesetter's ARMOR Coat?

At 0.1 mph :D There is definitely an better sound and the gain will be throughout the powerband when your motor can breathe better. Especially with FI.

"mph" well your still not going to be able to go over 118 in an untuned car but Hp and Tq well headers have been dynoed once and saw 10hp increase and Im not sure of TQ, in the 3.8l.
