i need some more volume, but i dont wanna completely break the knob off. im thinkin of just shovin a piece of re-bar down the middle of the cat and pushin as much mess out as possible. will this throw any kinda code or will i need a sim?

It probably will throw a code and you more than likely will need a simulator or tuning to fix that. Just think, you're removing the cat material, so the O2 sensor which measures the effectiveness of the cat will probably decide that it isn't working quite right anymore.
I'm also not sure how much gutting the cat will change the sound on an otherwise stock exhaust. Do you have anything else done?\'98 Camaro V6<br />Appearance... pleasing<br />Performance... just a little extra air.
