I'm thinking about what exhaust I want for my car, while flipping through the Summit catalog. I see the side pipes, and I think, "Hey! That might be kinda cool..." So here's the setup I'm thinking. I use one of the single in/ dual out catalytic converters, and hook it up to a pair of 60" long sidepipes, running right where the side skirts would be, if I had them of course. Has anyone done anything like this? Got a pic? Just for reference, here's a pic of my car:
Funny you should ask.. I was just looking through the May '07 issue of Camaro Performers Magazine and they have a 5 page spread on the 2001 Baldwin-Motion Clone Camaro and it has black side pipes...im not sure as to what I think of it..unfortunately I could not track down a picture of it on the net, so just go somewhere and flip through the magazine..;)
I have seen it in the past and it did not look good at all. Plus usually state laws require it to be out the rear if the car came with it out the rear stock. So you might have problems with that
people have talked about it but I do not remember if anyone did it. search :p
I think it would look horrible and would add to the gayness of the performance v6 camaro
Yeah, I searched but didn't see much. But what do you mean it would add to the gayness? I don't think our cars are gay at all. Sure, they might not be V8's, but that doesn't mean they aren't good, or worth having. But, I understand that you think it would look bad. Point taken.
Oh, BTW, I should mention I'm going for a bit of a retro theme, so you understand where I'm coming from. That pic doesn't represent it, but that car now has the 69 style emblems on the fenders, and the tires I just purchased will have raised whiete letters. I'd like to get TT2 wheels as well, but I just can't afford them. So this might give you all a better idea of why I want these. I think it will help to pull the whole retro thing together.

You wouldn't happen to have pics, would ya? What about it made it look bad? Poorly installed? Just didn't go with the rest of the car? Ooh, I didn't think about the law thing, I'll have to check that.
