  • quick Cat Question

I'm sure this has been discussed many times, but I did a search for "cat" and didn't really find what I was looking for, just people's set-ups. I'm redoing the piping on my exhaust and right now I've got a gutted stock cat. Should I stick with that, straight pipe it, or throw on a hi-flow? Already have an O2 sim and there's no inspections here in FL, so nothing to worry about, just wondering which would be better for performance and sound. I would think straight piping it would be, but just double checking.

I'd go with straight pipe so there is no turbulance and exhaust will flow smoother

restriction-wise, a gutted cat is pretty much equal to a straight pipe...and a high-flow cat is worse than either of the aforementioned.

okay, a high flow cat is still more than a straight pipe
