Ok ive done my searching  and it appears everyone has approved the use of going with the newer stock z28/ss mufflers... but what about the older stock z28/IROC mufflers? What every1s opinion on using one of them? I have an 85 z28 just sitting in the garage so im thinkin about stealing the stock exhaust (cat back) off of it, making ne mods i need to and throwing it on my 98 v6... ne comments?

Re: 85 Z28 Exhaust swap
assuming it's bigger piping, I don't see why not. The muffler, I'm not too sure on how it'll flow. Since it's older, it may be abit more restrictive then your stock V6 (I doubt it though). Give it a try and see how you like it. Worst comes to worst, stick your stock exhaust back on.~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~
