Just wondering if anyone has anyone found anything to connect the lid the the TB instead of the cheap dryer hose thing that came with the lid? Cuz id really love to get something thats alittle easier on the eyes see how makeshift that one looks...

Bought a 98 with the same bellows for the 'Lid.
I took metallized duct tape from Walmart that I used on AC repairs, an wrapped it around. It uses a urethane-based adhesive that is waterproof. Resulted in a shiny, different-looking bellows, but mainly, it sealed up air leaks! While I had it off, you could see a bit of daylight thru the sides when held up to bright sunlight.

All i found to work was the metal dryer venting... its what i did to my car. theres is a website that sells the regular rubber intake pieces. Not sure the combination you would need to buy to make it from the lid to the TB... but heres the site newayz.... hope it helps!!

thanks im gonna check it out. Its just such an odd angle i know homedepot has differ angled smooth rubber tube fittings, but dont think they are at the correct angle, thats kinda what id like to find..

Yeah I never found anything that would work at the Depot. It's all reducers, no actual 4" ID angled pieces.

A good fit for this may be the intake tubing that intense-racing.com or zzperformance.com sells.

Re: For those with 98 and angled TB

There's nothing wrong with the tubing that Whisper provides. Dryer ducting from Home Depot, or HVAC ducting won't work, as they're usually not tough enough to withstand the heat of the engine bay - they become weak and tear very easily.

Thanks for the link. Look like us Whisper to '98 TB folks only need one foot, too!

Sorry I dont have pix of the chrome-like plumbers Tape I used. Got it at Walmart for $7; it also dresses up fuel lines well, is waterproof, and fixed my AC right up after a blown engine/fire.

So polish it up - you can find metal polish in Home Depot, a supermarket, etc. It's certainly cheaper than buying a whole length of tubing.

If hers is like mine, it is a permiated-fabric wound with a steel wire, like behind Mom's dryer, but black and supposedly heat-resistant.

Too bad one of those bulb-types wouldnt fit; maybe it would smooth airflow better than our accordians?
