  • Gave up on install

So i attempted to put my headers in and decided to stop cuz it was too risky, i dont have much experience with cars but even the guy at the exhaust shop doesnt want to do it cuz he knows its a pain but hes doing it anyways. Good way to spend 300 dollars on an install =(

at least you tried. it would have been easier for you to just hand over the cash right away... but this way you did the most that you could, and learned a lot in the process.

I didnt want to risk breaking a stud, cuz i know that would cost a lot to get fixed and be without a car for awhile

I paid to have my headers installed. Glad I did too! My car had over 100k miles when I did it and the shop said that they broke 2 bolts in the process. I didn't need that kind of frustration on my shoulders.

my car had just rolled over 210,xxx miles and i used PB blaster on every stud, every night for 3 weeks. didnt break a single one. and the headers were totally worth it. brought my car back to life and then some.

Yea, at least you tried man. I was unexperienced when I installed mine with a good buddy of mine. The only bad part was cutting my hands up all to hell. Other than that and the drive to the exhaust shop wiht open headers to get my y-pipe put ont it was a sinch.

That's funny, I had to the same fun drive with open headers to get my Y-pipe put on and welded up as well. I just didn't feel like clamping my Y-pipe on, I wanted a good solid weld.

It took the shop that long to do it? Hell I did mine in 6 and I didn't have a lift. that shop sucks at doing things fast. At least it sounds like they did a good job though. As long as you are happy with the outcome and don't care too much about the price you had to pay it's all good. They do make a great change in the sound of the exhaust.
