Re: help on turbo manifold
yep, bolt patterens arent the same at all. most people either modify pacesetters or stock tubular manifolds.1998 bright red camaro ,M5 ,Y87 ,stock

Originally posted by Rune:
If it smells like a turd and looks like a turd, chances are its probably not a candy bar.

Re: help on turbo manifold
Please, do some research. It seems like you don't know much yet. The simple anser is no you can't modify the stock manifolds to put a turbo on them. What you need to do is either make a new Y-pipe that runs under the K-Member and up to a turbo in front of the engine, or make new forward swept manifolds with a Y-pipe that mates in front of the engine and, again, has the turbo there. Those are the ways everyone has done turbo setups on our cars. Now please use the search feature on this site to find more info on the subject. And you might find more info in the Forced Induction section.2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard

Re: help on turbo manifold
Turbo's are more efficient but SC's are much easier. If you want help designing a SC setup I'd be game but if you just want one that you can put on real easy get a mach performance kit for the best SC performance or a used RK-sport powerdyne kit like I did for a cheap medium level performance boost.2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard

Here are some photos I took during the construction of mine to help you...

You will need acess to a welder and some welding experience to take a project like this on, but I did mine in my driveway in my spare time since this is not my daily driver. Otherwise, you will be paying somebody between $2500 and $3000 to do it for you (not including parts). Mine cost me about $1200 doing all the work myself and using cheap/used parts.
I agree with the others, and do some research. I researched for about 3mos before buying a turbo even.

Re: help on turbo manifold
Good, you shouldn't just jump into forced induction without knowing what you are getting into. That said, it would be very hard to get over 300hp without FI or nitrous. If you are set on getting 300hp and want to do it safely you can do it by doing a powerdyne SC kit and some other mods relatively cheaply (still probably about 3 grand total though). Read up on what some of the powerdyne guys have done if you think you are interested in it. It won't be a great choice if you decide you want 400hp or more though, for that you would need the Mach SC kit or a Turbo.2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard
