Yeah i started out with the intake you just bought and later realized that its not doing much more than the stock airbox cuz the air silencer is still on, i bought a full cold air intake and i can tell its a lil better, I cant hear the air intake but thats cuz i just got headers on at the same time so my exhaust is pretty loud so i cant hear the intake at all =) hers a link to the air intake i just bought http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1997-...ayphotohosting
You can probably hear it if you open the hood and play with the throttle cable. I couldn't hear mine from inside the malibu I had either.
