hi all, i bought some pacesetter headers, non ceramic, the ones that come with that black paint that will burn off in 10 mins or so. They are not on yet and i had heard of people sandblasting the paint off teh pacesetters and painting the headers with a 1200 degree ceramic paint. Is this possible? I would very much enjoy painting my headers. Anyone heard of this before? anyone done it?
I thought about that idea. I don't see how it could hurt anything. I don't have mine on yet, but I bought them off of ebay. They claimed to be Jet Hot coated, but it's not like the Jet Hot coated ones I've seen before. It's a rougher black coating, non-glossy. Not like the black painted ones. I say go for it. As long as you don't wrap the headers, everything should be okay.
