i just bought my catback yesterday and started the install. it started out bad and got worse, first the cat bolts broke off flush with the cat as i was removing them. any ideas on what to do? im having ALOT of trouble getting the over axle pipe in. i tried it through the front and through the back and i cant seem to get it through, any tips on that? did you guys slide it in from the front or back? Its very slow hard work for me, when i cut the old muffler off it fell on my hand (freshly cut pipe) and cut it down to the tendons so im working with one hand. Im considering making a cut it the over axle pipe and adding another connector, thanks for your help

Personally, I thought the Flowmaster clamps were crap, I went to Autozone and got some but thats just me.
nope didnt try takin the bars off i was hoping it would fit with out taking them off, i doubt i can put enough tourque on the bolts to get them off one handed, so ill have to call a buddy for some help. the clamps didnt look too bad to me but i havent used them yet so we''ll see. the wont be on for long im gonna have a shop weld it up once its on

its not that i cant handle it, it was a freak accident that my hand got cut like that. the old muffler fell off the support and my hand happened to be in the wrong spot at the wrong time. freshly cut pipe is sharp its pretty easy to get cut, i was just unlucky enough to have my hand it the way. trust me i take all precautions when im under a car, the rear end was on ramps and i even had jack stands as well.

Re: how to install flowmaster cat back
A) wear gloves
B) get some beer/pizza and call a friend or two
C) don't look for the quick way... if you see something that may need to come off then take it off... you will spend more time trying to cut corners then you would just doing everything needed to make it easier

now that i know the pan hard bars need to come off i will do that instead of adding a cut to the pipe. i will deffinatly be taking my time, i have all the time in the world, im off of work for the next week due to my hand. so i wont need to worry about time. the last thing i want to do is half a$$ this car, it took me a long time to get it so i want to do everything the right way.
