Not installed yet, however I have a question. I bought the Z28 chrome tips (2.5") and the muffler that I bought is a 2.5" inlet and 2 2.1/4" outlets... is that going to be a problem at all and effect the tone versus having a complete 2.5" system? The guy at the store said no but if it is I can take it back asap. They didn't have a full 2.5" fyi.
it shouldn't matter. i've had to reduce and expand my tailpipes for different tips and I never noticed a sound difference. The two slightly smaller tailpipes are still larger than the muffler inlet overall.
