i have this exact same setup.. try covering up the open areas around the flanges it will force more air in through the ducts....

        Re: cutting foam behind grill?

I took out the foam yesterday cause I had the bumper off..

My question is what method works best for enlarging that hole? I was thinking maybe a good drill (powerful) with a high speed metal drill bit, and just rounding it out. What do you guys do? And you are saying you don't even notice a difference? There has to be an improvement because even though its not really "forcing air" in, it is increasing the volumetric efficiency which should give some improvement.. like at least 5 HP, because it has been proven that LS1's can get 10-15 HP out of ram air, so even with a V6 we should be able to get something.. lol even if it is ghetto-rigged.

looks cool in the pic. but i don't think that i will do it. i don't like the air duct look. plus the duct will alot more visable in my camaro since i have the k&n intake

No comment on if you'll get any gains or not.

The easiest way to make that hole larger is to just pull off the front bumper; you will have much better access to cut it that way.
